Biography:
Renata Ambrosio, LLB, PMP
Project manager professional (PMP) with 8 years of progressive experience leading projects in public sector, mining, legal services and financial markets. Renata is also an internationally trained lawyer (LL.B) and member of Brazilian Bar since 2009, specialist in corporate law. She obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from FMU University and her certification in International Project Management from University of Toronto. Renata is an active member of PMI volunteering as VP of Communications at Toronto Chapter.

Vikas Bodalia, Project Manager Associate, Starbucks 
Vikas holds a BComm from Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Management and an Applied Project Management Certificate from Langara College.  Working in Retail for over 14 years, Vikas has a passion for the Industry with a drive to challenge the status quo.  Having held positions in Project Management, Operations and Vendor Management, Vikas has a diverse professional background and enjoys wearing multiple hats on any given day.

Karla Klein, PMP, Program Manager, Professional Services, Trapeze Group 
Karla is a Program and Project Management Consultant who helps companies meet their goals through collaborative project delivery. Over the past two decades of her career, she has dedicated herself to learning and mentoring others to be leaders. Having worked alongside top executives in the private and public sectors, she learned how to build collaborative teams and provides them with the right tools that enables them to transform complex ideas into action plans.

Evelina Krawiec, Portfolio Manager, Capital Markets 
Evelina is a dedicated Project Manager with over 12 years of experience succeeding in diverse technical environments across multiple industries. She has built project teams, managed digital marketing initiatives for fortune 500 companies and led ERP initiatives.  She takes pride in delivering successful projects and mentoring her team to accomplish the same.

Tom Sommerville, Agile Coach, RBC 
Tom is an experienced, executive-level Agile leader with deep knowledge of enterprise systems and culture change, as well as enterprise-level, program level, and team level dynamics. He has applied tools such as Scrum and Kanban to build and scale Agile implementations from pilot to widespread adoption in both public and private sector organizations. Tom is an Agile thought-leader with a proven ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business goals at all organizational levels.

Tasia Stanois, Information Services Coordinator, St. Joseph’s Health Centre 
Tasia is an Information Services Coordinator at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. In her current role she is passionate about using her project management skills to create IT solutions. Tasia is also the Vice Chair of the PMI Toronto Health Care Branch where she works with a team of volunteers to host events for project management professionals in the healthcare sector. She earned a Sociology degree from the University of Guelph and a postgraduate certificate from Centennial College in project management.

Jefffrey Thompson, PMP, Senior IT Project Manager, TD 
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Jeffrey attended high school at St. George's College, obtained his BSc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of the West Indies, and his MSc. in Computer Information System from University of Phoenix and also has his PMP. Jeffrey’s work experience includes project management, engineering, and logistics roles in several areas including IT, manufacturing, Six Sigma and SAP. Jeffrey works at TD Bank as a senior project manager in IT infrastructure.

Osmary Torres, PMP, Associate Program Manager, The Advantage Group 
Osmary is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, International Development professional and Certified Project Manager with over ten years of proven experience leading, managing, designing, coordinating and delivering complex programs and projects. Osmary also has international experience as a researcher in different areas that include philanthropy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and community development.  Working with multidisciplinary teams in innovation, capacity building, organizational change, strategic development and public policy is her passion and embedded in every project she has worked on.

Vivian Xu, Scrum Master/ Business Analyst, Consultant 
Dynamic, results-driven, and highly efficient Business Analyst with five years of experience in Financial services and Non-Profit Domains supporting medium to large size projects. Recently, Vivian has focused on building her skills and experience in the Agile space, achieving both Scrum Master and Product Owner certification. Adept with complex business requirements gathering, analysis, and process modeling, Vivian is recognized for her ability to work well in both team and individual environments, prioritizing projects in fast paced multi-tasking settings.

Cancellations must be received by 5:00 pm, 5 business days before the event and must be sent in writing by email to events@pmitoronto.ca. There will be a 20% administration fee charged for cancellations, subtracted from the refund. Cancellation/refund requests will not be accepted less than 5 business days before the event. However, substitutions are welcome. Please let us know by 12:00 noon the day before the event of the person you wish to substitute by emailing events@pmitoronto.ca.
