Synopsis:
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that by 2022, the U.S. labor force will include 852,000 business analysts – an 18.6% increase from today. 

According to “20 Jobs with the Biggest Pay Raises” Blog on Glassdoor.com, ‘Business Systems Analysts’ rank highest for wage growth with a 10% increase from 2014-2015 and a median salary of $80,000 (top earners). 

Join us as we take a 360° View of a Career in Business Analysis. This event will provide perspectives from various thought leaders within the profession (recruiters, managers, practitioners, consultants and trainers).  We will tackle the questions that have been on your minds, including: 

 Are certifications important? 
 What are business analysis skillsets that are in demand? 
 What are career options in business analysis? 
 What are the latest trends in business analysis? 

The format of this event will allow for plenty of Q&A and opportunities to interact with the panelists. Space is limited, so register early to avoid disappointment!

Bio:

Greg Martin joined TEKsystems in 2011 as a Technical Recruiter supporting our financial services vertical. Greg’s focus has always been on recruiting Project Management and Business Analyst resources and he has carved a niche for himself as a subject matter expert within this space. As a Sr. Recruiter in the Toronto office, his mandate is to offer career counselling and aligning consultants to the right opportunity based on their skills, goals and interests. 

Igor Zebic, BA, CBAP, is a Portfolio Delivery Manager, IT Wireless, at Rogers Communications Inc. Igor has over 6 years of experience working as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, and 4 years of experience managing a team of Engagement Managers, BSA's, PM's, and Technical leads. Prior to working in IT, Igor worked as a learning consultant/trainer for 10 years. Companies he has worked for include, Virgin Mobile, Fidelity Investments, ADC Telecom, and Bell Mobility. Along with his work at Rogers he is a part-time facilitator with the Faculty of Continuing & Professional Studies at Sheridan College. 

David Vrbanek is a senior business analyst practitioner for the past 11 years.  His work includes software development, business process improvement and organizational development projects in the finance, health sciences, product lifecycle management and automotive industries, which has involved leading projects in a blended PM/BA role.  David has also been teaching and developing business analysts for over 3 years, and is also active in the Toronto business analysis community delivering workshops

Cheryl Lee, PMP, PMI-PBA, CBAP, has co-founded the PMI Southern Ontario Chapter - Business Analysis Community, and co-authored “Effective PM and BA Role Collaboration” (2015), J. Ross. She is also the President of a Toronto-based consulting firm that offers consulting and training services within the realm of business analysis and project management. She is currently a core team contributor to PMI’s Foundational Standard in Business Analysis. 

The discussion will be moderated by:

Marjan Brzovski, PMP, is a Business Systems Analyst at a major financial institution since graduating from the University of Ontario, Institute of Technology. He has worked in various analyst positions and gained experience and expertise working on small to large scale projects. Marjan has also acted as both project manager and business analyst for many assignments where he was able to demonstrate a leadership role and collaborate in a team environment to produce high quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

Cancellations must be received by 5:00 pm, 5 business days before the event and must be sent in writing by email to events@soc.pmi.on.ca. There will be a 20% administration fee charged for cancellations, subtracted from the refund. Cancellation/refund requests will not be accepted less than 5 business days before the event. However, substitutions are welcome. Please let us know by 12:00 noon the day before the event of the person you wish to substitute by emailing events@soc.pmi.on.ca.
