In-Person - Social Good: The Climate Crisis - Project Managers Take Action! (SOLD OUT)
Synopsis:
We are facing a Global Climate Crisis. This is an increasingly concerning message from the global scientific community and the United Nations. The project management community has the skills to help take action against this serious challenge.
Come join PMI Toronto and Climate Fresk in an interactive, science based workshop where we learn about climate change, network with other members and participate in identifying actions that we can take, both as individuals and as part of the project management community. Sessions are guided by certified Climate Fresk facilitators.
Participants leave the workshop having formed a strong bond with each other, and are well equipped to implement the climate actions that they have identified.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn the science behind climate change based on research from the United Nations IPCC — Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
- Interactive activity with teams to create a cause and effect diagram of climate impacts using the Climate Fresk climate cards. Facilitated by Climate Fresk facilitators.
- Brainstorm and identify action list for climate actions that can be taken by us as project managers and as individuals.
