We will also hear from Melanie Dussiaume, an accomplished project manager who has been instrumental in the success of our projects.

Melanie Dussiaume:

Melanie Dussiaume is a Project Manager in the IT Division at the City of Greater Sudbury. She has a background in Software Development and has been exposed to several styles and methods of project management. Obtaining her PMP in July of 2021, she has been working alongside Peter for the past 5 years contributing, developing, and enhancing the ideation process and project management standards at the city. She has had various roles within the IT department such as Senior Programmer Analyst, Business Systems Analyst and Project Manager. 

Melanie is an advocate for change and process improvement. Outside of work Melanie enjoys refereeing Volleyball, both indoor and beach, and enjoys spending time at the trailer with her family.

 

Peter Taylor:

As the Director of Information Technology (IT) at the City of Greater Sudbury Peter oversees and supports the delivery of technology projects and services. This includes working with senior managers and peers to prioritize the projects and services needed to achieve the City’s strategies. This also includes supporting IT managers, project managers, technical professionals and business unit experts to successfully execute on these priorities.  

At the City, Peter’s work has focused on delivering on the City’s IT Strategic vision of “Great service experiences powered by technology and data, available anywhere, anytime”

As far as experience and training, Peter has been a senior manager in Information Technology (IT) for over fifteen years. He has applied technology solutions, both in government and corporate organizations.  In that time, Peter has led two actual Project Management Offices (PMOs) and one virtual PMO.
