In Person: Social Good Event - Volunteer at CIBC Run For the Cure

The Event:

Come connect with other PMI Toronto members and earn PDU’s while helping out a great cause!

  • The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led event supporting the breast cancer cause. 
  • On Sunday, October 6, 2024 PMI Toronto volunteers will participate in the run by staffing the Registration Tables. This involves welcoming the runners and handing out t-shirts and registration packages. 
  • Funds raised for the event help thousands of people get to their breast cancer treatments, provides community and support through peer support programs, provides more than 3,300 wigs, headwear, and breast prostheses, and funds Canada’s best breast cancer research. 
  • This event supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well Being.

Registration fees for this event will be donated by PMI Toronto to Run for the Cure.

 

Note: Participants will be volunteering with Run for the Cure - the following waiver must be completed at the time of regisration. Please review in advance and be ready to complete it when you check-in at the event!

 

PDUs:

  • Up to 4.0 (Giving Back - self-reported through PMI profile dashboard)
  • Since the event is flexible, please claim 1 PDU per hour of participation

 

Agenda:

7:00 AM - Arrive at race start location and orientation (accessible by transit and parking nearby)

8:00 AM - Welcome runners and hand out t-shirts & registration packages

11:00 AM - Conclude

Registration closes on Sunday September 29, 2024, at 11:59PM.
