Workshop - RAID Log Practitioner Training

Ways of Working

Synopsis:

Join Kim Essendrup, author of “The Ultimate Guide to RAID Log” for this 4 hour workshop designed to help you master the secret tool of top project managers: the RAID log.

RAID logs have been around for decades, but there has never been any formal training for them. Usually, they’re passed down from mentor to mentee, or they’re embedded in an organization’s project delivery processes and culture. This makes it hard for other project leaders to learn about RAID logs or get the most out of this powerful tool.

By offering a formal training, we’re not just teaching project leaders how to use RAID logs – we’re setting a new standard for great project management and making this knowledge accessible to the wider community of project leaders. We believe this will help project managers everywhere do their jobs better and make their projects more successful.

Why join the RAIDLOG Practitioner Workshop?

  • Master the tool used by elite project managers to ensure success
  • Learn to manage risks, issues, actions, and decisions
  • Boost your team collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
  • Harness cutting-edge AI for risk management
  • Earn 4 PDUs to advance your career

Your registration includes a 6-month subscription to RAIDLOG.com, giving you immediate access to put your new skills into practice!

While the workshop will have hands-on exercises performed in our RAIDLOG tool, this workshop focuses primarily on the RAID methodology. You will be able to put the learnings into practice even if your workplace does not leverage the tool used to facilitate the workshop.

Learning Outcomes:

In this intensive 4-hour workshop, you’ll dive deep into the world of RAID logs and emerge with the skills to run or rescue any project. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Implement effective risk and issue management strategies
  • Help your stakeholders make more effective and informed decisions
  • Communicate confidently with executives, stakeholders, and team members
  • Use RAID to keep your projects on track and course-correct when challenges arise

RAIDLOG License Included:

To provide additional value to registrants and to give the entire workshop a common tool for hands-on-exercises, a 6 month license to RAIDLOG Professional is provided with registration. Although the software is bundled with the training, and the training does use the software for hands-on exercises, the focus of the training is not the software. The training focuses on RAID as a methodology.

Registration includes a 6 month license for RAIDLOG Professional version. After 6 months, you will be billed automatically $9.99 / month. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancelling before the initial 6 month term is over will allow you to use the tool for the full 6 months, after which your license will expire and you will not be billed monthly.

Please note that the licenses and support are not managed by PMI Toronto, if you have questions about the license or support please contact RAIDlog.com

FAQ:

Q: How does this workshop align with PMI / PMBOK?

A: The workshop developers are PMI Authorized Training Providers, and have developed this content to be in alignment with PMI PMBOK and Standard for Risk Management.

Q: Is this software training on RAIDLOG tool?

A: No, this workshop focuses on the RAID Methodology. We do use the RAIDLOG software in class, but only for hands-on exercises. We make clear in the class that if students prefer to use Excel or other tools for RAID, this is perfectly fine.

Q: What is a RAID log?

A: Put simply, it’s an ‘old-school’ tool that combines a Risk register, Action log, Issue register, and Decision register. But, it’s so much more than that. You can read all about it here: https://raidlog.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-raid-log/
