Our Speakers
Jennifer Burstein
As the Vice President of Construction for Collecdev, Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge, with over 15 years of experience managing high-rise residential projects across the GTA.
Jennifer aims to leverage her exposure working with some of Toronto’s largest construction firms, to manage the construction of Collecdev’s many high-rise residential developments across the GTA. Overseeing the Collecdev Construction division from pre-construction through to project completion, ultimately ensuring a quality product is delivered for purchasers to call home. Notable projects include Westwood Gardens, Tretti Condos, Nordic Condos, Trump International Hotel & Tower, 100 & 80 Yorkville, The Heathview, Emerald City & Concord Adex Condos.
Jennifer is equipped with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from McMaster University, is a Gold Seal Certified (GSC) professional and takes pride in being accountable for overall project performance, promoting a transparent and close relationship with all stakeholders, including supervisors, trades, suppliers, consulting teams and purchasers. Her leadership role in managing a high-performing team, secures the ability for successful completion.
Jennifer will play an integral role in the continual growth of Collecdev, by championing an integrated approach throughout the construction process and showing a commitment to being at the forefront of innovation, advanced sustainable engineering, excellence in construction, meticulous attention to detail, and uncompromising standards of quality.
Joe Ogilvie
Joe Ogilvie is a transformative leader at the forefront of innovation and sustainability in construction and real estate development. He brings 16 years of professional experience in systems optimization, green building and real estate development and finance. He has the unique ability to synthesize the technical functions of building MEP systems, structure and envelope with the pro forma constraints required to deliver buildings characterized by superior NOI/sf and NAV/sf with lower risk and environmental impact.
Joe is the Founding Principal at Archangel Ventures (archangelventures.ca), an innovation advisory practice for real estate development and construction, a founding director of the Urban Lab in the Brookfield Centre for Real Estate and Infrastructure at Schulich school of business, and a board member at Environmental Defence Canada.
A founding member of the Black Opportunity Fund (blackopportunityfund.ca), Joe believes that diversity in perspectives, skills and ideas are the key to minimizing risk and to capitalizing on unseen opportunity. An award-winning instructor, Joe has facilitated the growth journey for over a thousand learners through project management fundamentals and leading projects in organizations at U of T School of Continuing Studies.
In 2002, Joe earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics at Morehouse College. He is a PMP and LEED AP credential holder.
PDU Allocation
Two (2) PDUs are applicable for PMPs who attend this two (2) hour event.
The talent triangle allocation is 1 PDU –Leadership, 0.5 Strategic Business Management and 0.5 Technical.
