Session Description

Over the past 20 years since the Manifesto was published multiple agile myths have emerged along with some real challenges. Join our panelists to learn about the most prevalent myths and to understand how the Disciplined Agile toolkit can help to address some of the blockers which can derail an organization’s attempts to become more agile.

Kiron D. Bondale

Kiron D. Bondale, PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM II, ICP-ACC, PMI-RMP, DASSM/CDAI is a senior consultant for World Class Productivity Inc. delivering training & consulting services. Kiron has managed hundreds of projects in both internal and third party contexts over the past twenty years. He has setup and led Project Management Offices (PMO) and has provided agile, project portfolio management and project management consulting services to hundreds of clients across multiple industries. Kiron has been an active member of PMI since 1999 and served as a volunteer director on the Board of the PMI Lakeshore Chapter for six years. He has participated in PMP exam item writing sessions, contributed to the new PMI Standards Plus platform and has reviewed multiple PMI standards and practice guides including the Sixth and Seventh editions of the PMBOK® Guide. Kiron has been published in multiple journals, has delivered hundreds of webinar presentations and has presented at multiple industry conferences. In addition to his weekly blog (https://kbondale.wordpress.com) which has been running since 2009, Kiron is a daily contributor to key LinkedIn and ProjectManagement.com project management discussion groups.

 


Eduardo Martins


Eduardo Martins is an Agile leader with more than 15 years of consulting experience delivering projects/programs to all kinds of companies worldwide. Agilist by heart, he is passionate about empowering and improving teams. Eduardo holds a bachelor and posts graduations in Information Technology, and is certified in a series of Agile methods, holding certifications like PMP, Scrum Master, Six Sigma Black Belt, and more recently he was recognized as the first PMI Disciplined Agile Lean Scrum Master in Nova Scotia, and within the firsts in the world. An Agility writer, he publishes in specialized publications as Projectmanagement.comPMLINK.com and Medium. He is the creator of the A.L.M.A. Framework and hosts AgilityTalks on YouTube where he invites industry leaders to talk about Agility.

 


Klaus Boedker

 

Klaus Boedker is part of the Disciplined Agile methodology & IP team at the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has over 10 years of experience helping organizations to be more successful with project delivery using a combination of agile, lean, and traditional approaches.

Klaus has worked with several of Canada’s largest companies to build awesome, self-organized teams that deliver innovative products early and often to the delight of customers. Daniel Gagnon

 

Daniel Gagnon is an organizational agility advisor, coach, and trainer with close to three decades of diversified project management and IT experience. For the past ten years, he has specialized in spreading the values and principles of the agile movement, mostly within extremely large organizations.

He is one of two PMI Disciplined Agile Fellows and 9 Instructor Trainers in the world; was an active and vocal member of the DA advisory council for years; has contributed snippets of thought to 3 books on DA, and trained hundreds of CDA, CDAPs, CDAIs, and more recently DALSMs on all levels of the DA toolkit (DAD, DA Enterprise, DA DevOps) across North America and Europe.

Over the years, he has thus provided training to more than 2,000 individuals in DA, Scrum, SAFe, the PMI Montreal Chapter’s ACP test preparation course, a 40-hour agile project management class at Montreal’s McGill University, and finally the Agile Leadership Journey for leaders and executives.

His agile coaching and training engagements over the past 10 years have been with clients from the Financial sector as well as Public utilities and government entities (Federal, Provincial and Municipal). He has coached at all levels, from executives to teams, as well as diverse roles (POs, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Business Intelligence specialists, etc.)

Daniel describes himself as a passionate host leader and ethical disruptor. When not disrupting, he likes to cycle, collect early 20th century first editions of novels by British and American writers, and paint watercolours of urban landscapes he has photographed in his travels.
