Are you agile for the next industrial revolution?
Synopsis
"The pace of change has never been this fast, yet it will never be this slow again" - Immortal words of Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau during his keynote speech at the World Economic Forum in 2018, which had recognized the birth of Industrial Revolution 4.0 just few years prior to that. Unlike the previous industrial revolutions brought by the invent of steam engine, mass production through assembly lines with electrification and the introduction of mainframe computers, personal computing and internet, the speed of current breakthrough has no historical precedent. The invent and the interplay between artificial intelligence, machine learning, nanotechnology, brain research, automation, 3D printing and mobile networks has the potential to disrupt any industry around the globe. Successfully navigating through the fourth industrial revolution makes organizational agility an imperative dynamic capability for any business in the contemporary world. That is, the ability for organizations to sense external changes in the eco-system and respond to those threats or opportunities with speed, nimbleness, and responsiveness without compromising stability. However, most current organizational structures are highly hierarchical with the emphasize on efficiency and stability at the expense of agility.
This workshop will explore the factors of organizational agility including leadership, organizational structure, adoption of ICT, organizational learning, human resource strategies, and various project management frameworks that will enable the organizations to be agile to deliver not just software projects, but any project of any size.
